Big Ferg L.H
The left hemisphere of the brain and right ventricle of the heart that is Warpath. He is the OG visionary behind Warpath, which was an idea born from his passion for fostering an inclusive, hardcore-driven music culture. Big Ferg L.H specialises in the deep, dark, and militant sounds of Jungle and Drum & Bass, regularly spinning tracks from legends like Rumbleton and Friske. Ferg's sets are intense voyages that fill you with the vigor needed to head into battle. On top of this, he is also a prominent member of Aotearoa's HC scene; having roots in bands such as Severed Beliefs. Ferg also has a commitment to putting on all-ages shows, stemming from his own introduction to gigging, dedicating numerous hours to ensuring the next generation has the same opportunities to experience live music in its rawest form.
Arekatera
The right hemisphere of the brain and the left ventricle of the heart that is Warpath. Hailing from the tire-marinated streets of Upper Hutt, Arekatera is a whirlwind of energy and innovation you're bound to get caught up in. Starting their music career off as a Hip Hop DJ / Producer, Arekatera is now known for their high-octane sets, where he blends the ADHD Gen Z vibes of Breakcore with the classic raw energy of Jungle; often splashing in elements of Digital-Hardcore, Gabber and Miami Bass; Arekatera brings a unique blend of sound they can only describe as Hyper-Hip Hop.
Shampez
Hailing from the vibrant heart of the UK's original hardcore, jungle, and UK garage scenes, Shampez brings an unmatched energy and authenticity to every set. With "Original-Junglist" proudly tattooed upon his chest, Shampez is a living embodiment of the culture and passion that shaped these genres. A vinyl only DJ he seamlessly blends the raw sounds of jungle, hardcore, and garage, transporting audiences back to the golden era of underground dance music.
Manaia Toa
As the driving force behind the hardcore jungle label Headwound Recordingz, Manaia Toa has been a pivotal figure in bringing the raw, unadultered sounds of the underground to life. With roots in the 90s rave scene, they have thrown legendary warehouse raves all over Wellington, cementing their status as a true pioneer of Aotearoa's jungle and hardcore movement. Leaing into the hardcore side of Jungle, their sets are a relentless assault on the senses, guaranteed to keep energy levels sky-high. Beyond their DJ prowess, Manaia Toa also shreds as apart of the Digital-Hardcore / Cybergrind band Bloodbox, showcasing their versatile talents.
Cubeman
A legendary figure in Wellington's nightlife, it'd be more of a surprise if you didn't know who they were! Cubeman is renowned for their mesmerizing shows and stunning visual effects that transform any event into a full blown unforgettable experience. Having performed at festivals and gigs up and down the country, Cubeman brings a wealth of experience and a knack for creating immersive visual landscapes. Their cutting-edge visuals and dynamic light displays create a perfect visual supplement to the auditory chaos that ensues at Warpath.
VJ Raskal
VJ Raskal is a globally recognized visual artist and VJ, originally from Te Whanganui-a-Tara. Her multidisciplinary work pushes the boundaries of societal norms, delving into the blurred lines between nudes, sex, and cultural expectations. With a focus on the male form and the female mind, she explores how social constructs shape both identity and perception. Her stunning visuals and thought-provoking art have captivated audiences around the world. A truly lovely and inspiring figure, she brings a unique depth and vision to every performance.
P.S.I
Hailing from the heartlands of East Anglia, UK, P-S-I AKA Pounds per Square Inch was indoctrinated to the acid junglist movement by equal influence from Norfolk country bumpkins and deep London squatters alike. Since moving to Aotearoa, P-S-I has quickly settled into our various electronic scenes, having become an integral member of the prominent Third Eye Hi-Fi soundsystem crew. As the mastermind behind Wellington's other renowned Jungle night, Amen Sessions, P-S-I has been instrumental in fostering a vibrant local scene and pushing the boundaries of Jungle / Breakcore music in Aotearoa. His dedication to the craft is evident in every set, where they keep the party pumping with a total barrage on the eardrums with only the freshest of what Jungle & Breakcore have to offer.
Art Vandelay
Art Vandelay is a mysterious, time-bending vinyl-only DJ who seems to phase in and out of existence at will. With each rare appearance, they bring an unforgettable experience, showcasing immaculate mixing skills and absolutely no clanging. Their sets are a masterclass in vinyl artistry, leaving the crowd entranced by their seamless transitions and relentless energy. Close friends with Manaia Toa, Art Vandelay's presence is fleeting but always unforgettable.
Knifedge
Knifedge is a dynamic visual artist specializing in creating mesmerizing live visuals that amplify the energy of any event. Knifedge has crafted stunning visual experiences at some of New Zealand's most renowned festivals and events, including Welcome to Nowhere, 121 Festival, and Twisted Frequency. Their work has become synonymous with high-quality, immersive performances. Whether projecting vibrant digital landscapes or abstract, mind-bending sequences, Knifedge never fails to enhance the atmosphere with their signature style.
Birkenthot
Birkenthot is an unstoppable force in the New Zealand DJ scene, known for their incredible versatility and ability to tear through genres with ease. From Jungle to 140 BPM to the relentless chaos of Frenchcore, no style is too much for Birkenthot to master. Having played at countless gigs across the country, they bring an energy and unpredictability to every set that keeps crowds on their toes. Also producing under the moniker Sauin, Birkenthot is a multi-talented artist whose relentless passion for music knows no bounds.
Nymphloads
Nymphloads is a boundary-pushing DJ known for their deep connection to the raw, infectious rhythms of Baile Funk. With a style that effortlessly crosses over into genres like Miami Bass and Amapiano, Nymphloads creates an electrifying fusion that shakes the dancefloor. Representing the renowned Sigil crew, they bring a unique energy to every set, delivering a sound that is both bold and undeniably fresh.
KITTY
VJ Kitty, the self-described "Video Witch," is a master of mesmerizing visuals. Known for her willingness to experiment and push boundaries, she delivers stunning, immersive experiences at every gig. Whether at intimate shows or massive festivals, her unique approach lights up the stage, captivating audiences with her spellbinding visual artistry. VJ Kitty’s talent and innovation make her a standout in the world of live visuals.
Caspian
Performning at Warpath at just 19 years old, DJ/Producer Caspian is making waves in the hardcore Jungle and Drum & Bass scenes. Hailing from Christchurch, at such a young age Caspian has already amassed a wealth of experience in the scene. Whether it be hosting the Dredshed Radio on RDU every Wednesday night, or holding it down at Gigs and Festivals up and down the country, Caspian consistently showcases their skills and passions for music.
Current Bias
Current Bias is a force to be reckoned with, known for their electrifying performances and genre-defying sets. As both a Producer and DJ, they continuously push the boundaries of sound, creating music that transcends traditional labels. With a catalog spanning countless releases, Current Bias brings an innovative and unpredictable energy to every performance, leaving audiences in awe.
Miracle Bunny $upport
With a unique mix of Dariacore, Happy Hardcore, Bubblegum Bass, Hyper-Pop, and Brostep, Miracle Bunny $upport seamlessly mixes these high-energy genres to create a soundscape that is bothg nostalgic and futuristic. Having done a performance in the back of an old ambulance, Miracle Bunny $upport has proven their versatility and commitment to delivering unforgettable shows, no matter the venue.
Stacey Lee
As Wellington's favourite part time drag DJ, equipped with an extensive knowledge of electronic music. Stacey Lee consistently delivers unforgettable sets, largely featuring a mix of Breaks and Electro. Her deep understanding of various genres allows her to create a dynamic and captivating musical journey, perfect for igniting the dance floor and keeping the energy high all night long. As a proud member of the collective Sigil, she highlights her commitment to the local music scene and her passion for pushing the boundaries for live DJ performances inside of Wellington.
Young Gho$t
A long time friend of Warpath, Young Gho$t is a true force in the music scene, both locally and nation wide. Originally emerging as a rapper, Gho$t has evolved into a wonderfully multifaceted artist, excelling as a DJ, Rapper, Producer, Promoter, and all round good cunt! Gho$t's diverse talents are further showcased through their side-project Bad Taste, alongside Alphabethead, where they explore new musical horizons, representing quality Aotearoa Hip Hop up and down the country. As the boss of Ghost Media, he has also played a pivotal role in shaping the music landscape, promoting some of the most exciting events and prominent electronic artists around.
Noyer
Noyer is one of the masterminds behind Wellington's popular gig series, Garage Sale, a true powerhouse in the underground scene. Known for their signature blend of garage and 140, DJ Noyer has opened for a roster of big-name international acts, consistently delivering electrifying performances. Their influence and versatility have cemented them as a key figure in the local circuit. In true Warpath spirit, DJ Noyer once answered the call with only a few hours' notice, pulling up with homies Lakeboon and Wobble Daddy, and tore up the night with an unforgettable set.
Lakeboon
Lakeboon is a talented DJ and producer, specializing in high-energy footwork. With releases under the renowned Big Fresh Collective, their tracks have been spun globally, earning them a solid reputation in the underground scene. A key player in the local circuit, Lakeboon is known for their precise, fast-paced sets. As one of DJ Noyer’s close homies, they answered the call with just a few hours' notice to pull off an unforgettable set at Warpath, further solidifying their place as a force to be reckoned with.
Wobble Daddy
Wobble Daddy is a rising DJ and producer, specializing in 140. Known for their heavy, floor-shaking basslines, they’re already making waves as an insane producer. A close associate of DJ Noyer, Wobble Daddy was called up last minute to play at Warpath, marking a significant moment in their journey—graduating from Noyer's DJ Academy and performing their first-ever live set that same night. With a promising start and unmatched production skills, they’re set to be a major force in the scene.
DEATHTRIPPA
The Te Whanganui-a-Tara plug for quality Cybergrind/Digital-Hardcore, DEATHTRIPPA is a cyclone of unfiltered chaos that will rip you right out from the smokers area straight to the front of the stage. Known for their face melting Gen Z sound, combined with a commanding stage presence, DEATHTRIPPA tears the crowd limb from limb with an almagamation of chaotic moshing, walls of
death and circle pits.
Originally starting out as nothing serious, vocalist/mastermind Ian has nurtured DEATHTRIPPA into a full three piece featuring legendary drummer Otis, as well as DJ and turntablist Arekatera / Ethan. Drawing inpiration from a variety of places, but most notably genres Hardcore, Hip Hop and Rave, as well as artists Oasis and Lil Peep, Deathtrippa crafts an utterly unique sonic experience that'll have you feinding for more.
Lucre
The 04HC DOJO MASTERS, Lucre is a 5 piece hardcore band from Te Whanganui-a-Tara known for their violent pits and in your face attitude. Whether it's the auditory hell that Lucre unleashes, the absolute hell holes of most pits that form during a set, or the fact that vocalist Aaron will spartan kick anyone up the front not moshing enough, there is truly nowhere in the venue safe from the brutality of Lucre.
A 5 piece consisting of Aaron (Vocals), Jordi (Guitar), Jimi (Guitar), CJ (Bass) and Jack (Drums), all members of this militia are long time dedicated members of the 04HC scene. The founding fathers of Aotearoa’s militant mosh society, Lucre will leave you sweating and bleeding from orifices you didn’t even know you had.
Wallflower
Grungy, dreamy and ethereal, Wallflower offers a spiritual experience that lingers long after the last note fades. Hailing from Te Whanganui-a-Tara, this grunge/dream pop/shoegaze band blends lush soundscapes with raw emotion, creating music that invites listeners to lose themselves in its depths.
Fronted by Meike, the band features Noah on drums, Jed on bass and synth, and Bella on guitar. Together, they create a sonic tapestry that intertwines heartfelt lyrics with gorgeous ballads .
Their recent performance at Warpath was nothing short of mesmerising. Closing the night with a stunning 2 AM set (shout out the absolute troopers), Wallflower perfectly encapsulated the evening’s vibes, leaving the audience in awe.
